Reflection on project strategy

I.                   Concept on the project strategy?
Ans: The project strategy is an activity, individual or in group doing such an investigation and solution of problems that are carried out to the conclusion under the guidance of the teacher.

II.                Steps of the project strategy?
·         How to select the topics
·         The formats for the project work write up?

·          How to collect information?
·         How to compile information for the presentation?
·         Evaluation

III.             Advantages and disadvantages of project strategy?

ADVANTAGES ARE:
ü  Ensures active participation from the students.
ü  It extends beyond class room teaching.
ü  It requires and involves investigation and solution to practical problem.
ü  IT is very good at providing various outputs.
ü  They have the right of having their own hand to hand experiences.

DISADVANTAGES ARE:
ü  It is time consuming.
ü  It can be too complicated.
ü  Some people find them difficult to understand.
ü  They try to copy each other.

IV.             Implication of the project strategy in our classroom (opinion/views)
Ans:  In project strategy students have the freedom to do their work own choices and also develops their abilities to think more on concepts what they have really studied and collection of the information. It also provides good opportunities for students to investigate in their own way what ever they want to do. That’s why I like project strategy the most amongst all even it is time consuming to gather information.

V.                Role of the teacher?
·         To investigate the students work
·          To guide how to work on it as in individual and in a group
·         The teacher acts as a facilitator or a guide.

Purposes of questioning
I.                   What is questioning strategy?
Ans: what is questioning, from my point of view, it is a exchanging of answer through asking questions in the classroom. And also the questioning means to test the quality or the knowledge of the learners through in different ways.

II.                Procedures/steps of the questioning?
1.      Frame question
2.      Gain attention
3.      Ask question
4.      Wait for response
5.      Call for response
Volunteers
Non- volunteers
6.      Respond to the whole class.

III.             Purpose of the questioning?
Ans:  The purposes of the questioning are as follows;
1.      To provide feedbacks.
2.      To summarize the information and the unit or chapter.
3.      To understand whether the students have understood or not.
4.      To inspire or to arouse the interest in the learning room.
5.      To review and summarize previous lessons.
6.      To develop critical thinking skills and inquiring attitudes.
7.      To check whether the students have learn or done their homework.

IV.             Advantages of questioning?
Ans:  the advantages of questioning;
1.      The students will know how much they have learnt.
2.      Will able to know their strength in the studies.
3.      They can able to think
4.      To gain confidence
5.      To handle the correct and incorrect response
6.      To know the fast learners and slow learners.

V.                Disadvantages of questioning?
1.      Fear of examination
2.      Question as a punishment.
3.      They may loose marks
4.      Some may do malpractice as if they haven’t learnt.
5.      They may think it as a game.

VI.             Role of a teacher?
Ans:  The role of the teacher in the questioning is to conduct the test whether they have understood, what we had taught to lesson or, to know how much of them have learnt from our teaching. To check the strength of the students and bring them to the right understanding and also to measure in what ways they will be able to learn. To indentify between the bright students and poor students and make them equal learners.

Deductive strategy
I.                   What is Deductive strategy?
Ans:  The deductive strategy is a strategy that the teacher’s role is to explain the concept, giving the new idea to the students and helping with new notions. And also, in a deductive classroom, the teacher conducts lessons by introducing and explaining concepts to students, and then expecting students to complete tasks to practice the concepts. In this strategy, it is fully a teacher- centered classroom.
II.                Procedures/steps of the strategy?
1.      Teacher explains with examples.
2.      Students they provide with examples and then they used in right situation.
3.      Have students identify information step by step as they go through the problem.

III.             Purposes of deductive teaching strategy?
      Ans: The purposes of deductive strategy are as follows;
1.      First, we teacher should determine the concept to be taught.
2.      This strategy creates dependency in students limiting their thinking ability.
3.      Then the point of the lesson firmly in mind, we should think of examples that will support the concept and now we should be ready to begin the lesson.

IV.             Advantages of deductive strategy?
1.      Less time consuming.
2.      Enhance the greater interaction among the learners and the teacher.
3.      Involves in all level of question.
4.      Moreover the students will understand the exact meaning of the concept, what the teachers have taught.

V.                Disadvantages of the deductive strategy?
1.      The coverage of the content will be less.
2.      Students may be participating actively in the classroom as like in inductive classroom.
3.      The students will not know the exact meaning of the new concept or the sentence.
4.      As it is teacher centered and therefore it is not challenging for the bright students.

VI.             What is role of teachers?
1.      Teacher should be an active speaker/ex plainer to the concept.
2.      To enhances the knowledge of the learners.
3.      Presents principles and generalization.
4.      Show the main examples in the classroom, as like that of friendly teaching, classroom set up and managing good classroom environment.

                                                     ( I )

I.                   What is inductive strategy?
Ans: The inductive strategy is a set of data, rules or given information to the students to observe the specifics and then to conclude, compare and generalize about the entire group of a particular. So therefore, students are learning on their own knowledge and their understanding.

II.                Procedures/ steps of inductive teaching strategy?
Ans: The procedures or steps of the inductive teaching strategy are as follows:
1.      Provide the object and other materials to the students and let them compare and contrast.
2.      Of curse teachers role is minimize in this inductive strategy but at least they will give the concepts and the information on the given topics,
3.      The students will work based on the tutors given information but also they will study on their own understanding and research, so that they can learn their own and understand the best.
4.      Deriving the examples from the students.

III.             What are the purpose and aims of inductive teaching strategy?
Ans:  The purpose of inductive strategy is that;
1.      To understand their responsibilities in relation to their job role.
2.      To understand the modes of internal and external communication available.
3.      Identify any development needs through completion of their personal development plan.
4.      To know themselves by doing research of their own and in a group.
IV.             What are the advantages and disadvantages of inductive teaching strategy?
Ans: Advantages of inductive strategy is.
1.      Students will learn to their own understanding and they’ll remember later on.
2.      Understand more in the period of short time.
3.      They will gain more knowledge and experiences.
4.      Develop the self confident of the learners.
5.      More interaction is been taking place between teachers and the students.

Disadvantages of inductive strategy is,
1.      They will not get extra information as taught by the teachers in the classroom.
2.      The coverage of content/ chapter is less.
3.      The exact meaning of the word or a sentence will not understand by the learners.
4.      It’s usually a time consuming.

V.                What is the role of a teacher?
Ans: In this inductive strategy, teacher’s role is to guide the students, not like teacher is always giving lecture, explaining, demonstrating and citing examples to them but in this strategy, students are guided by the teacher and students are going through the concepts, that are given by the tutors. The role of the teachers is to facilitate, managing the activities, managing groups and managing the learning.
